Spencer’s SF homecoming -“Daybreak” release shows at Feinstein’s at the Nikko May 15-17

Spencer’s three night “Daybreak” release shows at Feinstein’s was a sold-out smash! The venue’s audience was full of his family, long time devoted fans (many of these fans have watched Spencer’s 10+ career and his evolution as a songwriter and performer), in addition to many new fans!

Spencer was more than pleased to celebrate the weekend of Daybreak’s release with a visit to the city he calls “home”. It was in SF where Spencer developed his musical roots, and also played his very first shows at small venues such as Lush Lounge.

Each sold-out night was special; most notably Saturday night. Spencer sang in three languages, fluently. He performed a song in Spanish. Then he sang an encore in Japanese (“Sukiyaki”) with his brother Brandon, who is also a gifted musician in his own right. Both songs, plus the rest of the performance, brought the house to perfect silence, followed by the loudest applause he has ever gotten!!

Spencer’s “Daybreak” tour will continue over the next few months He has dates scheduled in the northwest, SoCal, and NYC. Keep an eye on the tour page of this website, as more dates will be added VERY soon.

“DAYBREAK” NOW AVAILABLE

Today is the DAY; Daybreak is finally here! It’s been 5 years since I’ve made an independent record, and I have to say this one is definitely my favorite. I really hope you love this album as much as I loved creating it.

Many thanks to my friend and co-producer Erik Kertes, engineers Andy and Hans, and to the wonderful musicians who contributed their considerable talents to make this album. I couldn’t ask for a better crew. To my family, friends, and fans, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart”.

“Daybreak” is now available for purchase on this website. You can also grab other albums, as well as some pretty cool men’s and woman’s T-shirts. To download the album directly go to http://spencerday.bandcamp.com/

Peace & love – Spencer

Special “Daybreak” update from Spencer in Georgia

RoswellCAC_Spencer350X515RoswellCAC_SpencerHi everyone! It’s been a crazy long travel day, but we made it and I’m so happy to have Georgia on my mind!
Roswell, Georgia is the first stop of my Daybreak tour. Me and the band hit the stage tomorrow at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center tomorrow May 10. http://spencerday.com/tourdates/rosewell-cultural-arts-center/
I am so excited to share this album with everyone directly from my website www.spencerday.com on May 16. Daybreak includes both covers of classic songs from the 60s, as well as five original songs I wrote to pay homage to them.
This album is something that I am incredibly proud of, and it reflects where I am in life; happy.

Greetings from Roswell!

Special Announcement from Spencer! “Daybreak” new release date 5/16

Hello everyone and greetings from beautiful Mallorca! This is my first trip to Spain (apart from a 1 day stint in Barcelona years ago) and I am loving it. I wanted you to know that we’ve decided to delay the release of my new album, “Daybreak” for a few days.

I want this to be my best album ever, so I’m spending a little extra time in the studio to get the songs just right. I think (hope) that you will agree that it’s worth the short wait.

“Daybreak” is scheduled to release on May 16, and, if you keep an eye on my website, you might find it available a bit sooner . Good news: the first single from “Daybreak” is my original song, “Missing Tonight” and it should be available on radio any day now, please listen! Very grateful for your support (and patience).

New album DAYBREAK set to release 5/16/14!

With a year under his belt since his latest release “The Mystery of You”,  singer/songwriter Spencer Day decided it was time to get back to recording new music. Since then he’s spent his winter of 2014 recording new music for his upcoming album Daybreak; which is set to be released on May 16, 2014. Daybreak will be filled with a selection of classic standards from the 60s that he grew up listening to, and five original songs that he wrote in style to pay homage to them. “The whole album is really a reflection of where I stand at this moment; more happy then I’ve ever been in my adult life.”

Daybreak will consist of original songs and a selection of covers from the 60s like Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots are Made for Walking,” Buddy Holly’s “Oh Boy,” and “A World Without Love” by Peter and Gordon. “I’m looking forward to performing some new songs from my new album, “Daybreak” which treats retro 1960’s  style tunes with a contemporary sound. I’m really happy with how its come together.”

Stay-tuned on his official page for how you can purchase “Daybreak” directly on 5.16.14!
